I am thrilled, absolutely thrilled. I just spent the evening with a great group of people. I've been looking for this group of people since I moved here (almost 2 years ago!). It was a co-op who share nutritional philosophies from Weston Price, Sally Fallon, and her book Nourishing Traditions! I couldn't believe it! I heard from a good friend that she found a group of people that had raw milk, organic eggs, grass fed beef, etc... and I told her that I had to come to the next meeting. Well, it was great! The meeting had a key note speaker who was demonstrating how to make hand salves, natural skin products, etc.... And while she was speaking another lady was dishing out coconut oil from a 5 gallon container into everyone's glass jars. I love it! The interesting thing was that most of these ladies were also part of the homeschooling group, which I am interested in also. So, I just talked and talked and talked. I came home with some phone numbers and with the confidence that I am now not the only odd duck in Harlingen!
Whoo Hooo! I'm so glad that you have found your peeps! Coconut oil, hand salves and raw milk...who needs New Hampshire....well, let's not go that far! I miss you and wish we were going to this group together and making those wonderful ornaments with all our kiddos in my cozy house together. I can't wait to see you in Jan.
