My husband is such a talented man. He can create and fix things like no other normal human being. He should have been an engineer... but that's another story! If the dishwasher is broken, he fixes it. If the lawn mower sputters a strange tune, then he knows why. When the air conditioner is leaking water all over the garage, he dives in and repairs it. But best of all, he thinks of creative things to contribute to our household. Like this...
'WELCOME HOME ANDY'.... Awww, how sweet. This is what I found when I walked in my door with my new baby in my arms, just about 2 months ago. Benjy, Alexander, and ELizabeth sat down to create this stunning banner. I'm keeping it forever!
2 year old and 4 year old hands decorated this banner!
For Christmas, we aren't going out and buying like crazy. Alexander may get a new pair of shoes (blue converse low tops might I add), but that's because he needs them. Instead, we are giving them gifts that they can use for a long while or that we made. After seeing Alexander and ELizabeth discard so many toys that they have wanted in the past, Beny and I realize that we can't go that route. Benjy then looked in our trusty Nova Naturals catalogue and reproduced this for Elizabeth (and another for her cousins).
Alexander is receiving his own work bench in the garage next to Benjy's. Yes, completed with REAL tools. So much better than that plastic Lightning McQueen that gets kicked around the house!
Oh yeah... they will both have a cactus of their own. We went to the local nursery and they were mesmerized by the variety of cacti. All the way home we heard, "Can I PLEASE have a cactus?" I'll give in to that request!
Seriously...Benjy is amazing!
